Sometimes I’m attracted to a specific color for a period of time, and because I’m gravitating to it, everything ends up matching. I really don’t do it on purpose; I’m not trying to look like a catalogue. I don’t particularly like matchy-matchy, and I think it’s hilarious when the fashion police try to decree that it’s cool/not cool to match. It’s all so profoundly silly, but we know that, right? So, here’s my blue phase for the moment. It consists of a blue chambray maxi dress from H&M last year(?) and a thrifted African jacket decorated with cowrie shells (can’t wait to try this piece in other configurations). My beaded and woven bracelets are a thrifted and gifted assortment, and my earrings are by Lynx. Just trying to stay cool while I figure out what I want to sew for summer. So stay tuned for the next installment, brought to you in living color (or something like that.) Well, maybe in black and white. I’m kinda feeling that, too.
